Cookie Policy

Clear choices about cookies and similar technologies.

LifeBook uses essential technologies to keep accounts secure and the service working. Optional technologies are controlled through Cookie Settings where consent or opt-out rights apply.

Effective: 4 September 2026Last updated: 4 September 2026
International users

LifeBook is operated from Seychelles and may be used internationally. Mandatory privacy, consumer, child-safety and digital-service protections in your jurisdiction apply where the law says they do, even when these documents refer to Seychelles law.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website or browser on your device. LifeBook may also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, software development kits or comparable device storage/access technologies.

2. Categories used by LifeBook

  • Strictly necessary: authentication, sessions, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, checkout flow and privacy-preference storage.
  • Preferences: language, region, display choices and optional user-selected personalisation.
  • Analytics: optional measurement used to understand performance and improve the service, where enabled.
  • Marketing: optional advertising or remarketing technologies, where ever introduced and lawfully enabled.

3. Strictly necessary technologies

Necessary technologies may operate without optional consent where applicable law permits because they are required to provide a service you requested or to protect the service. Disabling them in your browser may prevent login, checkout, QR activation or other core functions.

4. Preference technologies

Preference technologies remember choices such as region or display settings. Where consent is legally required, LifeBook will not activate optional preference technologies until the required choice is made.

5. Analytics

If analytics is enabled, LifeBook seeks to minimise and aggregate measurement information where practical. In jurisdictions requiring consent for non-essential analytics, analytics will remain disabled until consent is obtained.

6. Advertising and marketing

LifeBook does not need advertising surveillance to provide the core family-memory service. If advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking is introduced, required notices and choices will be provided and technologies will remain disabled until the necessary consent or opt-in is obtained.

7. Cookie Settings

The Cookie Settings control lets you accept optional technologies, reject optional technologies or choose categories. You can change the choice later. Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through LifeBook when they are required for a feature you request.

8. EU/EEA and UK rules

Where European or UK electronic-communications rules apply, LifeBook will obtain consent before storing or accessing non-essential information on a device unless a recognised exemption applies. Withdrawing consent will be reasonably as easy as giving it.

9. United States privacy choices

Where US state law gives a right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or qualifying profiling, LifeBook will provide the applicable control. Where legally required, LifeBook will recognise valid universal opt-out preference signals.

10. Third-party technologies

Providers supporting payments, security, authentication, content delivery, analytics or other infrastructure may use technologies needed for their service. Important third-party technologies will be identified in the consent interface where legally required.

11. Duration

Cookie duration depends on purpose. Session technologies expire when the session ends or within a short operational period. Preference choices may persist longer so LifeBook can remember them. Optional technologies are not kept longer than reasonably necessary for their purpose.

12. Browser controls

Your browser may allow you to block or remove cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of LifeBook from functioning correctly.

13. Do Not Track and universal signals

Traditional browser Do Not Track is not a universally binding standard. LifeBook will nevertheless honour legally recognised universal opt-out mechanisms where applicable law requires it.

14. Changes

This Policy may be updated when technologies, service providers or legal requirements change. Material changes to optional tracking practices will be reflected in Cookie Settings where appropriate.

Manage Cookie Settings

You can revisit your optional cookie choices at any time.
